Yesterday I went to see a life coach.
For some time I wanted to do that, because of the fact that I have some unresolved issues with myself since my childhood that have been bothering me for some time now, and I wanted to deal with them once and for all.
I never met a life coach before, and this gentle person I met had a huge impact on me. She was about my age, with a big smile on her face and a bigger folder under her arm. We sat down at a table in a nice coffee shop and she started by telling me what coaching is all about.
That, in comparison with a psychologist, which is the same as an archaeologist in the way of digging up old issues, a coach is an architect, who builds the foundation and structure for your future.
Beautiful analogy.
By asking me a series of questions on the course of about three hours, she helped me see what I have to do in order to improve my life. That to-do list was tailor-made for me, and created also by me. It included stepping out of my comfort zone, into discomfort.
And it’s exactly what I need. I realize that.
And I also realize that each and every one of us needs to do that. You need to do that.
Yes, YOU.
For your own good, for your happiness and for the beautiful life you’ve always dreamed about.
