Magic happens!

Razvan Costea - Magic happensLast evening I spoke at an event, in front of almost 100 people.

The topic, set by the organizers (5MS.ro) was “The break”, and I chose to incorporate it into a story about my life, and share with the wonderful people there how I found my true path in life.

On my way to the event I was pretty nervous, and I was struggling with fear of speaking in front of all these people. The difference is, whereas on different occasions in my past I chose to let that fear control me and give up whatever I was doing, this time I chose to act, in spite of it.

I knew that deep down inside I wanted to be on that stage, and that desire was stronger than the fear. Little did I know that life would reward me in the most surprising way for this decision. Continue reading

The power of example

power of exampleA few days ago I attended a networking event. One of the reasons why I go to these events is to overcome my fear of talking to strangers.

By going to more and more events I gradually started to feel okay and the feeling of resistance to going and meeting someone new, in time started fading.

But I still have some apprehension about it, and that translates in a need to take a break and leave the group once in a while, and then come back for some more punishment.

The event itself was nice, almost 100 people have been there. But the nicest thing happened after the event. It’s a true, inspirational, real-life story. Continue reading

Getting ill – Good or Bad?

illnessYou may wonder: how can an illness be good?

And you may be curious to find out. Let me see if I can shed some light on your question.

The vast majority of us suffer from an illness of some sort. Be it something like allergies, obesity, constipation to more serious conditions, like diabetes, cancer or AIDS.

I have a vast history with illness, 20 years of suffering from a chronic gastro-intestinal disorder.

All those years of having it I kept wondering: “What is the cause of it?”

In my case, Continue reading

What happens while you wait for life to happen

waiting

Being a small coffee shop owner and waiting for your customers to walk in.

Being a newsstand employee, waiting for somebody to buy a paper or a magazine from you.

Being an office employee, waiting for your boss to give you something to work on for the day.

Waiting. Just waiting.

Meanwhile, life passes you by. Amazing opportunities fly by.

All that’s left for you is wait. For the next customer, for the next task. Until you retire.

You wonder then: What happened with my life? Was it worth spending it waiting? For what? Money? Security? Certainty?

And you regret. You regret all that lost time.

But there’s something you can do to prevent that. There’s something you can do NOW.

Do something today that you’ve never done before, or that scares you.

It’s so simple…..

Forget waiting, and just LIVE!

The “What if?” syndrome

The society today suffers from anxiety. Most of us do.what if

We are stressed, we are afraid. Afraid of many things. Of tomorrow, of other people, of responsibilities.

Afraid to get sick, afraid to drive, afraid to go outside, afraid of the future, afraid to get robbed, afraid to speak freely, afraid that you’re trapped, afraid of being alone, afraid for your children, afraid of risk, afraid to die. Afraid of being afraid.

In the last few years Continue reading

Feeling young!

What is the difference between the age of the body and the age of the soul? Huge! You could be 80, but feel like 25.

It really doesn’t matter the age of your body, as long as you feel young inside. Feel young, it’s an awesome feeling!

Love, Razvan

Does Education matter?

Most of the people I know only went to school for three reasons.education

First: because everybody does it and they don’t want to be at a disadvantage, second: it seems to be the normal thing to do, and third: because their future or present employer demands it.

It may be one more reason, and that is parents pushing them to do it, but that does not always apply.

Most of the great minds in our world’s history didn’t change the world because they went to school, but because Continue reading

The “power” of compromise

compromiseEarlier this year I had the most amazing experience while going to get my car repaired.

The car shop owner, a person who I know for about eight years, called me in his office to give me the estimate. He is a short fellow, not bad looking, age 39, with a bald spot, very energetic and a little overdressed for the business he is running.

Although I had known him for all this time, Continue reading

Being an actor in your own movie

Actor in your own movie

Actor in your own movie

Each one of us, at one moment in our life, has been a subordinate. Most of us still are, to this day. None of us likes it.

We all dream of being free to make decisions that are beneficial to us, instead of following instructions that, in most cases, are detrimental to our well-being.

We dream and dream, but fail to act.

Opportunities fly by each day, but we are so busy that most of the time we don’t even notice them.

And, when we do, we  Continue reading

Appearances

We live dual lives.

The real one and the one we want others to see.

The latter is meant to project an inflated image of ourselves so people can say: “Wow, your life is great!”. This is illustrated especially on social websites, where everybody likes to brag.

We post our absolute best pictures, our new car, the places we’ve visited, our loving relationship and so on.

However, in reality we may Continue reading
